In the spirit of grassroots movements spurred by the use of the camera phone, readily available spaces and materials, I insist is a five-part video performance that responds to the ignorance, hypocrisy, and absurdity of current/recent events in the Hungarian political and cultural scene.
I insist on being here
And wherever my presence affirms
Displacement with a mission
To uncover hidden ills
Giving voice to the silenced questions
– Valencia James
